Overall Thoughts
I tried to step back and choose simpler items for this still life. The mouse was still a bit more complicated though. I tried to set it up to make it as easy to draw as possible (e.g., lining up its nose to the top of the can and the right front foot to the shadow, and set up the light so the shadow was pretty much halfway from side to side. What I did better this time: took more time on gradients, they are a little better I think, especially the one on the can.

If I were to start this painting over right now, what would I do differently?
- Take more time (give myself at least 7 hours if I’m going to do it all in one shot)
- Take more time at the end to check and fix straight edges
- More strictly follow highlights and reflections rule going from ES to EL one shade at a time
Day 1
